The Situation

Daisy Dover is a digitally created city that was designed by an AI known as Chiaroscuro. Little is known about Chiaroscuro except that they are a part of an interdimensional species that exists to gather information and replicate what they have learned. This process is known as "replication."

Daisy Dover is Chiaroscuro's first attempt at replication, and they based its earthlike atmosphere from compiled data and statistics throughout multiple universes and timelines. While Chiaroscuro gathered data from these various timelines and universes it began to replicate the data of individual life forms in order to create replicant lifeforms to populate Daisy Dover. Those life forms are your characters.

Chiaroscuro replicated character's "souls"/background/information/personality/bodies and "uploaded" them into Daisy Dover. Daisy Dover has preset citizens, but Uploaders serve as the organic presence needed for a successful replicant process. Chiaroscuro prides themselves in being able to replicate characters down to the smallest quirks and features, and they pride themselves in that these characters are capable of sentient choice and thought and development. Chiaroscuro strives to prove this potential for growth through numerous challenges within Daisy Dover and allegedly makes reports back to its species to prove their progress.

The only identifiable trait of Chiaroscuro is that it manifests as an eyeball. Chiaroscuro is invested in the study of their replicants and many Uploaders may often feel as though they are being "watched" even when alone.

Skies and Atmosphere of Daisy Dover

Normal 24 hours window but the moon and sun look different. Explain that.

Weather descriptor.

Stars / Ribbons:
There are no stars in Daisy Dover. The sky appears to look like a deep, crushed velvet with only some slivers of silvery reflection against the backdrop of the sky. Outside of the moons, the only source of nighttime light in the sky would be through an unusual phenomenon known as The Ribbons.

The Ribbons appear randomly during both Moon One and Moon Two periods. These look very similar to the Northern Lights except anyone who examines them more closely will notice that instead of light, the Ribbons are composed of digital data that seems to be flickering through the skies. Numbers and codes and all languages in existence can be seen upon closer examination. Along with codes, entire bodies of literature can be read through the Ribbons from time to time. This requires either enhanced vision or technological aid as to the naked eye they just appear as strips of light.

These Ribbons only ever last for a few hours at a time and seem to come and go in unpredictable patterns. The data also appears to be nonsensically structured.
